The concept was to provide clear and legible signage for motorists approaching the estate, based on the title and theme, Orchid Glen which featured an existing image of an orchid. This features prominently on the first panel, while the remaining panels give mainly textual information regarding the advantages of its location. In keeping with the spacious nature of its situation, it was proposed we adopt a background 'sky' theme to emphasise the feeling of spaciousness, and colours that will contrast with the surrounding natural environment and backdrop of mountains.
