Big Bang

The second book in the series, this was another breakthrough concept in that it attempts to visualise in colour illustrations the latest scientific thinking relating to the Big Bang theory.

It tells the story from the beginning, often portraying abstract ideas visually; how space, time and energy came from the one "superforce."

As space expanded its temparature cooled until it reached a "condensation point" - when matter, and atoms were created. This is the famous 'background radiation' map and forms the skeleton for the entire structure and form of the universe we see.
