An intruiging new look at a recently popular subject, given the Dorling Kindersley visual approach; this explains the theory behind their formation, and documents the history of the search for these enigmatic members of the universe, whose existence was predicted more than 200 years ago. A central double-page pullout shows the anatomy of a black hole in all its detail, and subsequent spreads take you on a journey through the fascinating world inside one of these objects. It explains other related phenomena such as "wormholes" and how we could use these to time-travel.
This was a truly stimulating project, made all the more exciting through a unique opportunity to publish new, visually appealing imagery on what has formerly been the realm of high-brow physics. It hopefully presents a 'real' tangible look at what scientists have only been able to describe, of an object inherently more weird than one can imagine.
