Space Atlas is the definitive visual guide to astronomy; the large format does justice to the highly detailed illustrations, which chronicles how rockets are launched into space, the types of satellites which orbit us continually, and onward into the depths of space. There are spread features on the Apollo moon missions, and our robotic envoys sent out into the solar system to investigate our fellow planets - and beyond‰¥Ï
Each planet is featured in detail, together with our all important sun, which helpfully leads us into the realm of the stars. "Charts" provide unique geographical maps of our nearest stars, and on a smaller scale, our galaxy and its nearest neighbours.
An immensely enjoyable project for me, as it exercised a personal interest in the subject of astronomy. Understanding the basics of such a subject enabled me to devote more time to simply portray the information in an imaginative way.
